Ahoy there, fellow Newgrounders!

I hope you're all doing well these days, as it's been a while since I've posted. But there's no way I was gonna miss posting today of all days, because today marks the 10th anniversary of Abobo's Big Adventure!

10 years ago, I released Abobo's Big Adventure, the NES video game of my dreams, with my pals Nick and Pox. This total labor of love was SUCH a joy to watch everybody play. It still is.

Well, we wanted to mark the occasion by celebrating with the first-ever Team Bobo developer livestream! Nick, Pox, and I will be playing through the entire game while discussing its development, showing Abobo secrets, holding a live Q&A with the chatroom, doing all kinds of fun reminiscing, and more.

The livestream is TONIGHT at 8pm EST / 5pm PST here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPuud1j2y1A

I hope you can all join in the fun, as this should be a super fun celebration for everybody!

See you there and long live Newgrounds! ❤

Ahoy fellow Newgrounds chums!

Super excited today, because I've just released my new Halloween game, GRAVE CHASE! It's hard to believe I've been making games for nearly two decades now and this is the first one that I'm actually putting up for sale. I really can't wait for you all to try it out, because I've never spent so much time working on refining level designs (let alone on a soundtrack) as I have with Grave Chase. We really spent a ton of time on balancing the game so it has a perfect blend of Halloweeny atmosphere and ever-increasing classic arcade style challenge.

Grave Chase takes places in the month of October, with each of the 31 days representing a stage in the game. The story goes like this: an evil guy known as The Groundskeeper has murdered everybody in town and buried their body parts throughout his giant, mazelike graveyard. One day, he killed the parents of two siblings who saw it all happen. Now, with the power of science and shovels, these two kids are setting out to dig up those body parts and build Frankenstein-like monsters over the 31 days of October for some bloody revenge that culminates on Halloween - if they can survive that long!

Grave Chase features 31 stages of increasing arcade-style challenge, a main villain that gives Tom Fulp panic attacks, hordes of new undead monsters that are introduced throughout the game, over 50 achievement medals, Steam trading cards, unlockable game modes, a spooky chiptunes-style original soundtrack, gamepad support, power-ups, and a whole lot more.

Grave Chase is now available for $5.99 on Steam for PC / Mac / Linux:

Huge thanks to Jacob, Maarten, Marie, Bannon, Tom, and everybody who helped make this game a reality! I hope all of you will give it a try this season, as it's our love letter to all things Halloween and Horror. I'm really looking forward to hearing what you think about it!

Grave Chase - Now on Steam for PC / Mac / Linux!

The Groundskeeper is looking forward to making your acquaintance... with his meat cleaver!

Ahoy again, fellow Newgrounds chums!

Just wanted to thank those of you who took the time to vote for GRAVE CHASE, as our game was greenlit last week! Didn't expect it to be greenlit so quickly, so that was certainly a nice surprise! Now that it's greenlit, we're currently working on implementing all the Steam SDK stuff (achievement medals, trading cards, etc.), and once we've tested everything, we'll announce a release date.

Thanks again for the support! Can't wait for all of you to play the game and attempt to survive the 31 deadly days of October in the Groundskeeper's graveyard!

Ahoy there, fellow Newgrounds peeps!

I'm excited to announce that we've just submitted our first game to Steam! The game is called GRAVE CHASE and it's now up for voting on Steam Greenlight! I know... great timing 'n all, what with Valve just announcing that their Greenlight program will be replaced in the coming months, but with any luck, we'll be able to get our game greenlit before that happens. So with that in mind, if you're on Steam, Please take a moment to vote for us!

Here's the GRAVE CHASE trailer:

Pretty spooky, huh? Alrighty, now for some details about the game itself:

GRAVE CHASE is a retro-inspired 2D horror action-adventure game in which a brother & sister must survive the month of October in the deadly graveyard of a ghoulish groundskeeper.

The Groundskeeper always keeps his graveyard full. Not by having clients, but by killing all the people in town and throwing their body parts into open graves! One night, however, he murdered the parents of two kids who saw the whole awful act take place. Now, they've sworn to get revenge using science... and shovels! Together, these siblings hatched a plan to go into the graveyard, dig up body parts, and use science to turn them into an army of monsters to tear the Groundskeeper limb from limb.

It's not going to be easy, however, for the Groundskeeper patrols the graveyard constantly with his lantern, searching for trespassers whom he can relentlessly chop into pieces with his meat cleaver. As they traverse his nightmarish graveyard, the siblings will also have to use their shovels to battle hordes of the undead, skeletons, blobs, axe-wielding psychopaths, ghosts, mummies, and much more. Hey, it's a graveyard; who else would you expect to be hanging around there late at night?

It's a spooktacular game of ever-increasing difficulty, all culminating on Halloween!

Please vote for Grave Chase on Steam Greenlight!

GRAVE CHASE features old school 2D pixel art, a steady flow of spooky new enemies throughout the game, 31 stages of increasing difficulty, 4 additional unlockable game modes for even more replay value, over 50 achievement medals , special power-ups, an all original soundtrack, windowed or fullscreen play, gamepad support, and you can choose to play as the girl or boy while the other stays home and builds monsters using the body parts you collect.

We've been working nonstop on this passion project and I really hope you like what you see. Again, if you're interested in playing GRAVE CHASE, please take a moment to vote for it on Steam Greenlight. Thanks!

Hey there! Long time no speak, my Newgrounds peeps! Hope everyone is doing aok.

So, my buddy and I have been working on a small new game that we're planning to release sometime in October, and we're looking for an experienced pixel artist (preferably with a game or two under his/her belt) to join the project. The game will be completely coded with placeholder art already in it, so we just need someone with awesome pixel art skills to come in and make it look spiffy... and spooooky! And yes, we will be selling this game, and whoever we pick will be getting 1/3rd of the profits.

If you're interested, send me a PM with at least 2-3 examples of your best pixel work. Would definitely be nice to see some games you created the art for, or at the very least, some animations.

Thanks in advance to all who apply, and looking forward to seeing your art!

Yo ho ho, my Newgrounds chums!

Long time no speak! Sorry about that, I've been extremely busy and you're about to learn why. I'm extremely happy to announce that the new game myself and my good pals RainbowCemetery and Poxpower have been working on for Adult Swim Games is finally finished! Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla is the result of our nonstop work together for over a year, and while the three of us are exhausted from burning the midnight oil, we're super excited for all of you to play the game and see what you think.

Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla is a big action-platformer game with long levels, loads of crazy mutant enemies, and some truly huge boss battles. We wanted to make a truly different kind of platform game by introducing the unique gameplay mechanic where the protagonist can't walk or run... he simply has to hop and jump everywhere he goes. Of course, he can use that to his advantage - well, that and the fact that he has chainsaw arms that spin around like a crazed whirling dervish. Furthermore, with the gorilla being bionic 'n all, he can literally rip his chainsaw arms out of his sockets and throw them at his enemies while his stretchy tendons reel them back in. The more enemies you kill, the more you'll level up your character, which in turn increases both your overall power and the distance you can throw your extendo-arms.

By killing enemies, you'll also find a ton of costume elements (almost 130 so far!) to equip during the game at any time by pressing the "O" key. You can completely customize your character by changing his head, chest, legs, and both of his arms separately. Yes, you start out as a Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla, but you can quickly become a Bionic Keytar Pizza Beehive Cthulhu. That's an actual thing in the game. Seriously.

There are loads of other features including achievement medals, special unlockable full costume sets, secret areas, customizable keyboard controls, combo-meter, power-ups (and power-downs), player stats, stage select (so you can replay any areas instantly & search for more items), and more. And yes, your progress is automatically saved each time you play the game, so you don't have to beat it in one sitting. Honestly though, how anybody can tear themselves away from a game that allows them to replace their gorilla chest with a delicious taco is beyond me.

Can't wait for you to see all the levels and creatures, and most importantly, the gargantuan final showdown with Big Boss. Trust me, that is one insane boss fight you don't wanna miss.

You can play Bionic Chainsaw Pogo Gorilla here:http://games.adultswim.com/bionic-chainsaw-pogo-gorilla-action-online-game.html

Thanks for checking it out and please lemme know what you think!

Abobo's Big Adventure, the little Flash game that could, is up on Destructoid for their annual awards. Pretty awesome being on that list considering the BIG multi-million dollar games that are also on it!

Would really appreciate it if you guys could take a moment to cast your vote for Abobo here:
Vote for Abobo's Big Adventure!

As you probably already know, this project was a 10-year labor of love, so we've been really happy to see it getting worldwide recognition throughout the year. It's seriously been a crazy ride to see our Flash game get reviewed on all the major gaming sites and even reviewed in magazines like Game Informer. Getting some GOTY awards would be a really amazing way to end this big 2012 adventure of ours, so thanks in advance to all of you who vote for our game :)
